Walt Disney World in Orlando will be getting a new hotel by early next year.
B Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to completely renovate the Royal Plaza hotel, including 25,000 square feet of meetings space, guestrooms, common areas, pool and outdoor terrace, and a new spa.
Taking free Wi-Fi to the next step, it also will loan guests iPads to use during their stay.
The 394 rooms will include two master poolside suites, five master suites, 17 one-bedroom suites and 20 family-friendly rooms with bunk beds.
The B Hotel will "debut a new restaurant concept based on America barbeque" as well as a poolside bar and grill, and a takeout café and ice cream parlor.
All the rooms will have mini-fridges and HD flat-screen TVs.
In other Disney news, Disney theme parks have changed the policy that lets visitors with special needs skip the lines.
Starting October 9, guests with park-issued disability cards will receive tickets for entry to rides and attractions at an assigned time.
In the past, too many able-bodied visitors were abusing the policy that allowed disabled visitors to skip many lines, including hiring disabled "tour guides" to accompany them to the front of the line.
Walt Disney World in a statement underscored its "unwavering commitment to making our parks accessible to all guests" and said it is changing the process "to create a more consistent experience for all our guests while providing accommodations for guests with disabilities."
Guests with disabilities and their families will be given a new version of Fastpass tickets, which provide shorter wait times.
A petition asking Disney executives to reconsider the policy change has already generated more than 20,000 signatures.
